Jane Cooper

After working in marketing and strategy at NatWest, Jane became the Prince’s Trust’s first Major Gifts’ Manager, raising over £2m from high net worth individuals, companies and trusts in under two years.  Subsequently Jane established her own fundraising consultancy business, and worked for Cause and Effect Advisory, undertaking major corporate social responsibility projects for blue chip companies such as IKEA, BP and Vodafone.  For the last four years she has been chief executive of the Countryside Education Trust, an environmental education charity in Beaulieu in the New Forest. With degrees in English from Oxford and London, Jane is a poet and playwright, the founder of Bareknuckle Shakespeare, a member of the RSA and has served as a trustee for a number of organisations, including Centrepoint and the National Lottery Board (South).  She is a passionate believer in the power of words, freedom of speech and respectful debate.
