Eileen has been working in arts and culture education for 19 years. Starting her career at Beamish Museum, her roles have included learning officer at Discovery Museum in Newcastle and roles within strategic regional and national arts and cultural education programmes, supporting cross-sector collaborations, partnerships and skills development.
Eileen has a BA Degree in Industrial Archaeology with History, an MA Degree in Museums Studies and has just completed an MSc Degree in Leadership and Management. She is an associate and mentor for the Museums Association, an arts award adviser, an ICA trained facilitator, a school governor, and a STEM ambassador. As a historian at heart, Eileen loves debating and believes it is one of the best ways to develop critical thinking skills; empowering freedom of speech and encouraging us to question our biases and the world around us.
